Support for Christopher

My brother, Christopher, was recently in a very serious accident. A car hit him (going God knows how fast) as he was walking across the street and left him in the street. He was rushed by ambulance to the ICU where he has been since 3/21. He suffered injuries to his back and neck, broke his arm, leg, torn spleen with internal bleeding, broken ribs, collapsed lung, and his pelvis is broken in three places. He was just taken off the ventilator and able to breathe on his own, but he still has a chest tube in to relieve the fluid in his chest. He received surgery for his compound breaks throughout his body. On Monday they will be performing skin grafts to assist with healing some lacerations.

We need a lot of prayer at this time as he is faced with a long road of recovery ahead. Living on the streets and in shelters will no longer be an option and I will need as much help and support as I can get as I try to navigate being a full time caregiver for him. He will need assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, even going to the restroom. And on top of his physical injuries we are still working to treat his severe mental illness and his legal battles as well. As of now, he is still homeless with no where to go to heal once he’s released from the hospital. He will need 24 hour care for both his physical and mental disabilities and due to his legal issues, my apartments will not allow him to reside with me.
