My apartment was hit by lightning Tuesday morning at 515am. I woke up screaming and my heart was beating fast. It was the loudest I've ever heard. My boyfriend smelled smoke. I ran out on the balcony and saw that the balcony next to me was on fire and smoke was coming out. I started screaming for my boyfriend to wake up the neighbors. I ran to get my phone to call 911. I ran outside and started yelling to go wake up the neighbors on the backside of the building. I fell running in the rain. I started ringing door bells and banging on doors. Some of the people were asleep. Everyone got out. But we all lost everything. All I had was my phone and the clothes I was wearing.


Becca is one of our fellow travel and strike nurses who just lost everything yesterday to this awful fire. Her building was hit by lightning:( let's support her by sending any donations you can as anything will be greatly appreciated! !!!
