My name is José Antonio, an entrepreneur whose life, business and hopes have been shattered by The Coca-Cola Company. Two years on, I continue a ´David vs Goliath´ struggle and I am rallying for both moral and financial support. Today, your support makes  a huge difference. Your donation assists in funding the international case against Coca-Cola to ensure  justice is obtained.  It is also your voice made visible and amplified. Our voices organized together is what  companies in the wrong fear the most.

What happened?

I spent the last 10 years of my life in the development of a functional drink, combining natural ingredients to help  boost brain performance, improve mental clarity and reduce stress.  I called it Go Gaba and was on a roll with it, receiving many awards at home and abroad. Things were very promising and The Coca-Cola Company was quick to show interest, only to then destroy years of hard work, steal my intellectual property and squash my business in a way I could never  have imagined.

The contract was crystal clear: I had the ‘know-how’, they agreed not to compete, and we were meant to explore  the business opportunity together.  It took Coca-Cola less than five months to launch a competing product in Japan and called it Fanta ‘Pineapple’ GABA. Fanta being their third largest global brand.  After I presented the legal complaints Fanta GABA disappeared. Coca-Cola transferred key witnesses and accused parties overseas, and is acting in a coercive way.

Day by day, my team and my financial means keep being hammered by the giant who uses time, apathy and all its resources to hide the truth.

Everything I have earned and worked for goes into fighting for my cause.  You can help me fight for what’s  right and succeed in getting back what was built over a decade of hard work. This will set a positive precedent for all entrepreneurs, those who dare and risk everything to bring their ideas to life.  Entrepreneurship is the key to innovation and world progress, and it shouldn’t be compromised by greed.

I want to restore the truth, and I want Coca-Cola to sincerely spread happiness AND fairness - as opposed to “socially responsible” incongruent and deceiving messages.

Mi nombre es José Antonio, soy un emprendedor cuya vida, negocio y esperanza fueron destrozados por The Coca-Cola Company.  Dos años después, continúo en una lucha de ´David contra Goliat´, y estoy buscando apoyo moral y financiero. ¿Qué sucedió?

Pasé los últimos 10 años de mi vida en el desarrollo de una bebida funcional que por su combinación de ingredientes naturales ayuda a impulsar el rendimiento del cerebro, aumenta la claridad mental y reduce el estrés. La llamé Go Gaba y todo iba de maravilla, recibimos premios y reconocimientos en México y el extranjero. Las cosas eran muy prometedoras y The Coca-Cola Company se apresuró a mostrar interés, solo para luego destruir años de mucho trabajo, robarse mi propiedad intelectual y aplastar mi negocio de una manera que nunca hubiera imaginado.

El contrato fue muy claro: yo tenía el "conocimiento", ellos acordaron no competir, y exploraríamos juntos la oportunidad de negocio. Coca-Cola tardó menos de cinco meses en lanzar un producto competidor en Japón y lo llamó Fanta 'Pineapple' GABA. Fanta es su tercera marca más grande en el mundo. Después de que presenté las denuncias penales, Fanta GABA desapareció. Coca-Cola transfirió a testigos clave y partes acusadas al extranjero, y está actuando de manera coercitiva.

Día con día, mi equipo y mis medios económicos siguen siendo golpeados por el gigante que utiliza el tiempo, la apatía y todos sus recursos para ocultar la verdad.

¿Por qué financiarme?

Todo lo que he ganado, y por lo que he trabajado, se destina a luchar por mi causa. Puedes ayudarme a luchar por lo que es justo, y a tener éxito en recuperar lo que se construyó durante más de una década de mucho trabajo. Esto sentará un precedente positivo para todos los emprendedores, aquellos que se atreven y arriesgan todo para dar vida a sus ideas. El emprendimiento es la clave para la innovación y el progreso mundial, y no debe verse comprometido por la avaricia.

Quiero restaurar la verdad, y quiero que Coca-Cola difunda sinceramente la felicidad y la solidaridad, en lugar de mensajes "socialmente responsables” que en realidad son incongruentes y engañosos.

Luchar contra Goliat requiere una gran cantidad de esfuerzo y recursos económicos.

Cada $ tendrá un gran impacto.

Con el éxito de esta causa, me comprometo a donar el doble de todos los fondos recibidos a través de esta campaña para ayudar a los niños que son víctimas de la violencia.
