Wounded Warriors Campaign in Memory of Herman

At the young age of 33, and after serving 15 years in the Canadian Armed Forces, Sergeant Herman Williams passed away after an ongoing battle with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder).  He served 4 tours of duty, 3 of which were missions in Afghanistan, and spent countless months away from his loved ones and support system.

Herman was a leader among his troops and advocated for mental health programs such as the Service Dog Program and Equine Therapy.  He was passionate about the work Wounded Warriors did for soldiers and first responders and always wanted to be able to help the organization in some shape or form.  

I have been asked about donations for our family, but we will not accept anything.  Our boys will be taken care of throughout their lives, so we want every dollar someone wants to donate to us, to donate instead to the Wounded Warriors so another family will not have to go through the loss of losing a loved one from PTSD like we did.  These men and women need help and they deserve all the help they can get.

Therefore, I have set up this campaign in Herman's honour to help those struggling with PTSD, get the help, training, and programming they need to better deal with their day-to-day lives.
