Worthing rowing club j15 girls

We are the j15 girls from Worthing Rowing Club and this is our story. At the start of this season we were losing every race, it felt like we were putting maximum effort in and getting nothing out of it. Near the end of the season, we started training more and fighting for the win, and it was paying off- we were coming 2nd in almost every race we entered - we were happy with our improvement but it wasn’t enough. We wanted to win!

When the season ended we realised we needed to increase our training for the south coast championships and so that’s what we did. We started training 4 times a week, keeping our eyes set on the goal and when the championships rolled around we won our heat and came 3rd overall!

Now, we train 6 days a week, pushing our hardest for the next season and National Schools. We would love to show exactly what we can achieve but our boat is holding us back. Currently, we are using a stern loader and an old boys school bowloader for training, neither of which are set up for our crew. For National Schools, we need a bow loaded quad of our own, and so we need your help to save raise the money for one.

Alongside other things, we will be doing a world record erg where we will be trying to row on the rowing machine  non stop for 3+ days. Your support would allow us to demonstrate exactly what we are capable of.
