Telephone of the Wind

I built the telephone of the wind in Olympia, Washington. http://seattlerefined.com/ 

I started this gofundme to raise some funds to build more and place them in various places in the PNW, possibly further. 

I’ve been asked to help build and place 3 more, one in Tacoma, and two in Oregon. I’m thinking an wood-grain English style phone booth with plastic windows. And a bench of some sort. It’s the Pacific Northwest, and it rains, so I’d like to protect it from the elements with the plastic window square, but I also recognize that keeping it somewhat open air is ideal in allowing the sun to kill any virus and bacteria.

I was pretty excited to see that people had been using it and excited to use it. But I also am a bit worried it’ll overwhelm priest point park and ideally people wouldn’t travel and overcrowd it.

So, I want to build more, and build more. I would like to build some that are more sheltered from the elements, and will last longer, I’ll even put in hand sanitizer stations.

Unfortunately, I am solidly middle class, and while I am able to build the phones, the materials are not in my budget. 

If anything is left over, I’ll put it towards replacing my computer that very inconveniently died today or to building more phones.
