WORSHIP LEADER TRAINING (@Worship Circle)
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
We wanted to reach out to you and let you know of an amazing opportunity Sarah & I have to help further our development as worship leaders and songwriters.
There is a Worship Leaders Ministry called “Worship Circle” that we recently begun networking with this past January 2019, where Sarah and I attended a retreat for worship pastors called “REST”. It was there in the North Mountains of Georgia, where we felt the Lord showed us what it was like to truly be ONE with Him, especially in worship. One of the nights we took communion with everyone at REST, and I (Micah) felt like I experienced communion for the first time in my life! Honestly, church leadership can be a very lonely place (just look at the recent news of “Christian Leaders”), but at REST 2019, we truly felt that we were “loved and not alone” (which was the retreat theme). That retreat has already had an impact on our church as we were inspired to create a new quarterly event called “Worship In The Round”.
Todd Fields (formerly Northpoint Community Church), Kim Walker-Smith (Jesus Culture), Paul Baloche (leader/songwriter), Meredith Andrews (leader/songwriter), Tasha Cobbs Leonard (leader/songwriter), Kari Jobe (leader/songwriter), Pat Barrett (Housefires, song writer) and Charlie Hall (Passion)… have created a worship leader training program called WORSHIP CIRCLE that would allow us to benefit from their combined years of leadership in churches around the world. The monthly program involves LIVE, online teaching sessions, video critiques, mentoring, homework, and teaching from special guests like Louie Giglio, Matt Redman and many other top worship leaders and teachers. So, Micah has been presented with the opportunity of going deeper in training and mentoring with worship leader Paul Baloche for the upcoming Worship Circle term that starts at the end of October… and then Sarah could enroll in April 2020 as well.
Like any further education or training, there are costs involved for our enrollment. The “Standard” program includes small group mentoring, teaching sessions, round table discussions, video critiques, training material and guest teaching. That Standard program costs $1,800 (or $299/month per person). The “Premium” program includes all the above training, plus one-on-one sessions with one of the mentors, and the REST Retreat would be FREE! The Premium program costs $3,000 (or $499/month per person). Each program lasts for 6 months, but is also available as a 12-month option. Our hope is that we can raise enough support that Micah can attend the upcoming program with Worship Leader Paul Baloche starting (October 2019), and then Sarah attends the next program in April 2020 (Worship Leader/Mentor is TBD).
Would you be willing to pray about partnering with us to help make this training possible? As worship leaders, we will have the opportunity to stand before many people in our lifetimes as a voice of hope and truth to point them to Jesus and we want to be the best we can be at doing just that! Regardless of your ability to help, we want to say thank you for your friendship and encouragement to us over the years, and thank you for taking the time to read this letter.
