The World's Brightest Hanukkah Menorah
Help create the world's brightest Hannukah menorah in New York City! Each holiday season, millions of people from around the world come to New York City to experience the lights of 5th Avenue. Let's turn into 5th Avenue into the celebration of the miracles and light of Hannukah!
The World's Brightest Menorah
* 20,000+ LED lights
* 40 feet tall
The World's Best Location
* 5th Avenue in New York City
* 5+ million people per holiday season
All proceeds will go towards raising money for the menorah, which will be installed at Chabad of Midtown, located at 509 5th Avenue, between 42nd and 43rd Street once the funds are sufficiently raised. $163,061 will be needed to produce and install the menorah. The rest of the proceeds that will be raised will be used for maintaining, warehousing, storing, repairing, installing, disassembling the menorah for another seven years. Just like the menorah miraculously burned for eight days, this fundraising goal will last for eight years. American Christmas (founded by Jewish businessman & progressive activist Marvin Schwam) will be handling the creation and execution of all services in regards to the menorah, and also do so for over 600 holiday-related installations across New York City. Here is the proposal for the menorah.
