Worlding’s Next Phase: Creative Community Series

Donation protected
Dear friends,

Join Us in Worlding a New Future!

If you’re like us, you’ve also been eager to do SOMETHING.

In the UK and beyond art and community are being affected by lack of funds, support and even, dare we say it, recognition. We believe that artists, educators and creatives have very special and untapped skills to foster wellbeing. Not wellness, not luxury, not consumption, but sheer joy.

So, we’re excited to announce the second phase of Worlding, our growing non-profit art organisation, and we’re reaching out to ask for your support in helping us bring this next chapter to life. We’ve had help along the way, from collectors, patrons, artists and many others. Thank you! Full disclosure: we’ve all volunteered for the re-birth of Worlding because we believe in the project, and we’re now applying for funding and looking for sponsors. If any of you out there have skills to share or funds, contact us here: [email redacted].

In our first phase, we successfully launched the Worlding Residency Series, a powerful initiative that gave 7 artists so far at different stages of their careers, both national and internationally based, space, time, and resources to develop their practices. Each residency sprouted new projects, new contacts and an immersive stay in London’s dynamic art scene. We have also partnered with two countries’ organisations (and counting) to welcome residents on a regular basis and in a collegial manner. The response was overwhelming, and the impact was real. Now, we’re ready to go further.

But how?

Introducing: the Worlding Creative Community Series

Based in Elephant & Castle, this new series is about creating a welcoming creative hub for the community of South London. We’ll be hosting inclusive workshops, cultural events, open discussions, and shared community meals, designed to create social connection through creativity.

We’re providing a space for local artists and voices, and building a community where everyone, regardless of background or experience, feels celebrated.

Our aim is to cultivate wellbeing through art & creativity. We amplify creative voices and we awaken everyone’s artistic soul!

We have planned: professional artist-led workshops (for varied age-groups), community gatherings through skill-sharing such as food and music, open mics & much more.

Why We Need Your Support

To launch this series, we’re raising funds to cover:

  • Equipment hire for community events
  • Artist and facilitator fees (we believe in paying people fairly!)
  • Materials and resources for workshops
  • Accessibility support and outreach
  • Community coordination and promotion
  • Community meals to bring people together over food and conversation
  • Contingency costs, so we can stay flexible and cover last-minute changes or cancellations in our projects and residencies

Every contribution, big or small, brings us one step closer to this next stage.
If you’ve been moved by our work before or believe in the power of community-led art, we would love for you to be part of this next step. Please consider donating and sharing our campaign with your networks.
Let’s world a better world, together.

Love,

The Worlding Team
