I am David Jackson. I have been a lifelong competitor in the sport of Track and Field throughout High School, College and on into Masters events where I have been nationally and world ranked. Late last summer I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and in the fall underwent prostatectomy surgery. Within three months I was able to recover and compete again where I won the 3000 meter Steeplechase at the Grand Canyon State Games in Arizona while recording the 4th fastest time in the world for my age group so far in 2015. 
     I would like to become an inspiration to others; especially our young people, by demonstrating ones ability to endure through adversity in order to attain ones lifelong goals; whatever they may be. I am asking for your help in continuing this journey while representing my country; the USA , by competing in the the World Masters Track and Field Championships held this August in Lyon, France.
