World Vision Donation 2024
Donation protected
Hey Guys,
Thank you for your charitable gift to help a poverty-stricken family in need. This year, Tina and I wanted to give friends and family the chance to give a small donation to a great cause through World Vision. World Vision is, "a global Christian humanitarian organization. We partner with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice".
This year, our goal is to try and raise enough money to purchase a cow, sheep, and goat as a three in one package for a family in need. We feel this will create a long-lasting impact as the family will have access to fresh milk, wool, and other goods which can bless them nutritionally and financially. We decided we will shoot for this and if we do not hit our goal, then we will poll how to best use the funds raised through the giving options in the World Vision Catalog (hyperlink below). Feel free to explore the catalog yourself so you can see how involved World Vision is and have a better understanding of where your generous gift is going.
A little background information. Tina and I have always believed in serving and hold it as one of our core values. Tina has been on mission trips to Costa Rica and Taiwan, as well as several medical missions to Guatemala. I have been to a couple missions in the U.S. (Henderson Settlement KY and Toms River NJ) as well as Costa Rica and Nicaragua to serve those in rural, poverty stricken communities. We are passionate about serving the less fortunate and feel it is part of our calling as Christians.
If you are skeptical.....I understand. It can be disheartening when you hear about "charitable" organizations who use their funds for personal gain. However, Tina and I sponsor four children through World Vision and we receive ordinance multiple times a year for each of our kids. Things like health updates, photos on what they received for Christmas, school letters and so on. We can attest to the effort and dedication this particular charity puts towards the communities they sponsor.
I thank you for taking the time to consider donating to a great cause. We appreciate your generosity and pray that you have a Merry Christmas. Side note: I will match the first 150 dollars donated! Let's work together to make a lasting impact for a family in need.
