World University Games & U23 Tour

Hi, my name is Aiden Princena-White, I am 20 years old and I am reaching out for your support as I pursue a significant opportunity to represent Australia in Pole vault at the FISU World University Games in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, and the U23 Athletics Australia Tour in Taipei City.

Pole vault has been a major part of my life since 2019, and in that short time, I’ve been fortunate to achieve some incredible milestones. From breaking a seven-year-old NSW State record just six months after taking up the sport, to representing Australia and placing 2nd at the Oceania Championships, the journey has been challenging yet incredibly rewarding. This year, I claimed my third consecutive NSW State Opens Championship title and set a new NSW Opens State Record with a jump of 5.53m, marking my best season yet. Right now, I am the 2nd highest Jumper in Australia, I am ranked 96th in the world for Open Men's Pole vault and have the 84th highest jump in the world this season, showing just how close I am to breaking through to the next level.

Despite these achievements, competing at the highest level comes with substantial costs. As a full-time university student who dedicates countless hours to training, balancing work, studying and sport can be difficult. I am currently fully self funded for all training, competition and travel costs and the constant commitment to athletics can be quite expensive. Unfortunately, I have had to forgo international competitions in the past due to the financial burden, and I am determined not to let that happen again.

Your support would not only help cover travel, accommodation, and competition fees but also allow me to focus on representing Australia at these prestigious events without the added financial stress. Travelling as a Pole Vaulter comes with additional costs due to flying with 5m+ oversize luggage which can be extremely expensive when flying internationally. Whether it’s $1 or $50, every contribution will make a difference and bring me closer to achieving my dream of competing on the international stage.

I am also actively seeking potential sponsors, whether individuals or companies, who are interested in backing my journey for these upcoming competitions and future aspirations like the Commonwealth Games and the Olympics.
