World Transplant Games 2025 - Germany

Donation protected
Hi. I am raising funds to take part in the World Transplant Games 2025 in Germany. I am so proud to have been selected to represent Great Britain in Archery.

In 2015 I got poorly quickly and had no clue what was wrong with me. My local hospital blue lighted me to Leeds where a week later I underwent an emergency liver transplant.

This year is special for me as it will be my 10 year anniversary of my liver transplant.

During my recovery I found out about the Transplant Games and I decided to take up archery six months later and entered my first games a year after my transplant.

The Transplant Games show that life goes on after transplant. They bring together transplant recipients, live donors and donor families
Transplant recipients take part in many games from archery, golf, football, athletics and swimming. All the while promoting organ donation.

My amazing donor Lynda went on to save/change the lives of 14 people
including infants.

For over 45 years the World Transplant Games Federation has been staging international sporting events and promoting education around transplantation in order to promote the physical success of transplant surgery and the need to raise public awareness and increase organ donation. Through our various initiatives we aim to highlight the importance of physical activity and healthy lifestyle in the long term management and well being of transplant recipients.
