World Record Attempt & Lung Cancer Fundraiser

Hi, my name is Charles Bungert andI will be running in this year's March 19th, 2023 Los Angeles Marathon attempting to break my own Guinness World Record "Heaviest Person To Complete A Marathon" in honor of my mother Carol Coleman Bungert who passed away from Stage 4 Lung Cancer. It's been almost 10yrs since she passed away and since I got the world record, so I thought I'd give it another go in her honor and to raise money for Lung Cancer Awareness. I will be joined by Junie Vincente (bodybuilder), Baylor Barbee (motivational speaker & author), and Brent Gutierrez (actor) who were kind enough to want to run with me and support me. I have spent about $2,500 of my own money thus far preparing everything for this World Record attempt.

I originally wasn't planning on running for a cause but decided to raise money for Lung Cancer Awareness in honor of my mother. Any funds raised over my expenses will go directly to Lung Cancer research. If you're unable to donate we just ask for you to share this link on social media to spread the word.

I have trained for six months for this event and plan on beating my time and weight from my Guinness World Record. No donation is too big or too small. Any help and support is greatly appreciated. If you live in the Lis Angeles area please come cheer us on at the finish line.
