The World Food Championships will always hold a special place in my heart, as it did with Chef John. It is a part of us. It’s in our blood. I am honored and blessed to be an Ambassador and Head Cheferee for the second year. I hope this journey never ends!
Kitchen Arena is my home away from home. It’s my happy place! It’s one of the places I feel closest to my husband. Sitting down to write this is extremely difficult. Tears are flowing. At the same time, I am super excited and know that John would be very proud of me.
This year's event features a $350,000 prize purse. The competition brings over 500 teams and over 1,500 competitors from all around the world in a five-day competition. And this year, we debut in Dallas! We are going bigger and better than ever.
A lot of planning and preparation goes into this event. I will be arriving a couple days early to help set up. I will be driving. LuLu has to stay home, so I will take this trip alone.
