World Finals for SIHS Odyssey of the Mind team

Presenting the 20-21 South Iredell High School Odyssey of the Mind team!  They placed FIRST at the North Carolina OotM state tournament and qualify for World Finals at the Orange County convention center, in Orlando Florida on June 11-12.  These 9th and 10th graders are excited about the trip and for the opportunity to compete against teams from all over the US and other countries.  But, we need your help.  Getting the team from Mooresville, NC to Orlando is an expensive task and funds for this type of event are not available in our Iredell county public school budget.  Money is needed for registration, travel, room and board.  Any amount you are able to give is appreciated and we THANK YOU!  Donations can be made securely through this website, or you can see on of the coaches Lili Bonomo and Estelle van Nes to make a cash or check contribution.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students from kindergarten through college.  It allows students to work with others and provides them with the opportunity to learn creative problem solving, brainstorming, and teamwork.  Team members apply their creativity to solve problems that range from building structures or mechanical devices to presenting their own interpretation of literary classics.  Visit www.odysseyofthemind.com for more information on the program.   Please  donate to help the SIHS team go to the 2021 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals Competition.
