Hi, my name is Laverne and I have lived with a skin condition called Epidermolysis bullosa Simplex for 60 years of my life. My skin breaks and blisters with heat and friction but despite this "Butterfly" skin, I love sport. Despite the pain and playing with raw skin, I , for the first time in my life and it took me 60s years to get here, I have been selected for World Cup Hockey Masters Over 60s Ladies in Brasschaat, Belgium from 3rd - 17th August. All travel, accommodation, kit, meals, entry fees are paid by myself and in addition, I need ointments, cooling sprays, lighter breathable kit to play in the summer heat.
