Hi! My name is Joey and I am currently 13 years old. I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to take part in a 13-night expedition to Borneo, where I’ll explore rainforests, work with local communities, and develop skills that will stay with me for life.

This isn’t a typical school trip. In Borneo, I’ll be trekking through national parks, learning about endangered wildlife like orangutans, and living alongside a rural community where I’ll help with local projects that support sustainability and long-term development. I’ll also experience new cultures, learn teamwork and leadership skills, and step far outside my comfort zone.

A big part of this expedition is about giving back. I’ll be contributing to community initiatives, learning how responsible travel can make a positive impact, and gaining a better understanding of global issues such as conservation, sustainability, and cultural respect.

The expedition will challenge me physically and mentally, helping me grow in confidence, independence, and resilience. It’s an opportunity to learn in a real-world environment and return home with new perspectives, skills, and motivation for the future.

To make this possible, I need to raise funds to cover the cost of the expedition, including travel, accommodation, food, guides, and community projects. Any donation—big or small—would mean so much and will directly help me take part in this once-in-a-lifetime experience.
