Mt Snowdon climb for Montenegro trip
Donation protected
Update March 2025:
Im going to be climbing Mt Snowdon on the 21st of May 2025. This is one way I’m tacking the challenge of raising the funds for Montenegro. This climb however is not only about reaching the summit but also about pushing limits, building resilience and making this amazing opportunity possible. Please donate in support of the climb to raise funds for the trip. Thanks!
Sept 2024:
Hi, I’ve set myself my biggest challenge yet. I’ve signed up for World Challenge. This involves a trip to Montenegro in July 2026. I have until then to raise the funds for the trip £2695. Signing up to a World Challenge trip is no small commitment and I’m excited for the challenge. I will be preparing myself for the trip through a development program based around three key pillars: Global Citizenship, Personal Growth and Wellbeing. As an organisation, World Challenge believe that the travel experiences students have with them can be life-changing while they seek to maximise the educational opportunities the trips present to create positive outcomes for the participants, schools, and the wider global community. By successfully completing the pre-trip sessions and taking part in the trip, students will: • Gain a greater understanding of how to act for a more sustainable future, at both Local and global levels • Be immersed in different cultures and experiences, growing to understand their role within our global community • Be challenged to think critically about topical issues that affect our past, present and future around the world • Be empowered to build on their self-care strategies, enhancing their physical and mental wellbeing • Build a deeper connection to their own identity & personal values, developing their independence and sense of self • Experience and reflect on the power of being pushed outside of their comfort zone, allowing the development of initiative, confidence and resilience A large part of the experience includes students committing to paying for the trip themselves, which can include fundraising amongst other things. World Challenge are fully focused on learning through experience as part of the build-up to the trip, and finding ways to raise my own funds will increase personal development. Any support you can provide to help me through the journey will make a huge difference. Thank You, James Krepski-Mitchell
