We're Harry and Duncan, professional actors and writers who have just set up our new company 'Butters & Burt Musicals Ltd'.

Our inaugural musical 'Every 90 Minutes' shines a light on the current male mental health and suicide epidemic the UK is facing.

On average a man takes his life every 90 minutes, that's 15 a day. Suicide is the leading cause of death for men under 50, with 3/4 suicides being men. Something needs to be done more than ever.

As two queer artists who have battled with their own mental illness we felt it was our duty to, as best we can, give a voice to this situation. We want to be part of the conversation, keep it going, because only when we talk can we help, and only then can we make a change.

We have recently submitted an application to the Arts Council to fund our two week workshop, but we are looking to raise 10% - £2500, to be able to fund various aspects of the project, as well as pay for vital resources such as mental health first aiders, specialists etc, to help support our cast and creative team through the process, as well as our audience members during the presentation.

We are aware that times are hard right now, but any donation no matter how small will make a huge different to our end goal. We want to be a cog in the machine that helps bring the suicide rate down to zero.
