My name is Alejandro De La Guerra, and I’m a multidisciplinary artist, drummer, and teaching artist. I was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and I currently live and work between New York City and Managua, Nicaragua.

For almost 20 years, I have been working in art education, performance art, public art, and artivism. Most of my projects have been supported by sponsors, close friends, and my community in general. At this time, I would like to request your support for a workshop/residency at the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI). This residency, will be held in the Peloponnese, Greece, from July 14-19, with another option to participate in Fall 2024. Which you can learn more about here: https://www.mai.art/cth

I was invited by Paula Garcia, part of the curatorial team of the Marina Abramovic Institute, to be part of the next cohort of performance artists for the "Cleaning the House" methodology. This invitation is incredibly exciting for me and will undoubtedly be a significant boost for my art career and a valuable tool for my teaching background.
