Dove-Haven Foundation is a not-for-profit and non-governmental organisation with the aim of promoting the health and wellbeing of the population by reducing cancer threats through cancer prevention, management, research, and advocacy activities. The organisation has its base at Isanlu, Yagba East L.G.A, Kogi State, Nigeria with volunteers across Nigeria, and in the diaspora. https://www.dove-havenfoundation.com/
The reported new cases of cancer annually in Nigeria had risen to 500,000, and for every estimated 10 cancer cases, 8 die within a five-year period.
We believe everyone has the right to good health. Dove-Haven Foundation is offering assistance to some cancer patients as well as reinstating a few survivors. We are currently focusing on the population in the underserved rural communities that have no access to cancer care.
The funds will be used to establish a facility where free cancer care can be accessed. We hope to launch the organisation between 1st-6th February, 2021 in Isanlu, Yagba East L.G.A, Kogi State, Nigeria during the world cancer day.
