I've known Shonaleigh for a good few years now and it was great seeing her again at a festival a few weeks ago. She's still on the road, passing on her traditions in the most enthralling way; but the road is taking its toll. She was moving about on sticks, hiding the pain as so many people do, by smiling through it.

I chatted to her about this and while she is pinning her hopes on the NHS in the long term she is in need of some practical support until a treatment plan can be implemented.

This Go Fund Me is part of that. The figure we're aiming at isn't huge but will go to providing the sort of footwear and accessories that will help manage the pain and increase her mobility. It may mean she can seek a private second opinion that will expedite her treatment.
