Wor Hoose to Wor Hoose Charity Walk
After going to the doctor with a sore knee and a passing comment about weeing slowly, sent alarm signals to the doctor.
I was water tested clear then blood tested for PSA, which was found to be high as normal at 4.5.
After having MRI scans and prostate biopsy, I was found to be clear and bloods back to normal levels.
This made me very aware of how easy Prostate cancer can be overlooked. I simply thought that peeing slowly was just a sign of my 63 years of age.
I was wrong I needed to be seen by a medical practitioner.
What I have learnt is that if you catch prostate cancer early, it be cured or controlled.
This led me to look into the main symptoms of what to look for in prostate cancer and what women should look for in Cervical cancer.
This is why I am carrying out this walk from my house in South Shields to my house in El Campello, a distance of 1500 miles +, in Spain, to raise awareness and funds for these two charities.
