WOOSTER FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT NEEDS

Dear Wooster Football Supporter,
As the Head Football Coach at Wooster High School, I am reaching out to alumni, Wooster Football supporters, and friends. Making the playoffs last year for the first time in 19 years was great for this program and got the kids believing again. As we begin to prepare for the upcoming season there are many needs for the football program as a whole. We are trying to accomplish many tasks and are in desperate need of funding to do this. The school district does not give adequate support for sports in general and football demands the most when it comes to an operational budget. We are scrambling to try to put together some fundraisers for this spring, but with time restraints and available funding it seems nearly impossible. The Football Fundraising account is empty so I am reaching out for any monetary help I can get from the community.
We have been very successful in the past few years and have been able to raise a good amount of money for helmets, shoulder pads and uniforms. However, we are do again for another big push for equipment needs. With helmets costing $450 apiece and shoulder pads $289 we are looking to raise $12,000 by this spring to take advantage of the deals Riddell and other equipment companies are providing.

In order to restore pride in this once traditionally great program it is going to take rebuilding the foundation and that starts with great community support.
