Woolsey Fire victims lost it all...
On November 9, 2018 my niece Calli Glickman and her longtime partner Wil Shavick, along with Wil's mother, Rachel, lost their home in Calabasas - and everything in it - to the Woolsey Fire. They are safe, along with Timber (their beloved dog), and today visited the site for the first time, finding nothing salvageable. All of their personal possessions, household goods, furniture, clothes, mementos, books, everything, is gone.
Wil is a student studying to be a teacher at CSUN, and Calli works at a local Chatsworth business. Material things are not their priority. They are so grateful to all be safe, but like many families affected by the fire, they are now faced with rebuilding their lives.
As Glickmans like to say: "Family is everything." And they do need help getting back on their feet again, so we're reaching out to family, and friends like family, and friends of friends like family... and asking you to please give what you can.
Thank you.
UPDATE -
Thank you all for your quick and generous support. Wil and Calli are humbled by your donations. These funds will go directly to them to help get them back on their feet as they begin the process of rebuilding their lives.
This campaign was created by Calli's Aunt (Tracy) and her cousins (Celia, Samantha, Morgan, and Ashleigh) and we too are overwhelmed by the reaction. As the girls' grandfather - affectionately known as "Wadah" - taught us - Family Is Everything.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
