Woonsockets ÓHagan bids for World Championships

Hello, my name is Marc Piette, Head Coach and throws coach at Woonsocket High School and Ocean State Hammerheads Club Coach. My athlete, Woonsocketś own Tarik Robinson-ÓHagan who has had an amazing and historical track and field career while at Woonsocket. The future University of Mississippi Rebel is vying for a spot on the USA U20 World Championship team in Cali, Columbia. The 9x National Champion, 15x All-American who has also won multiple New England, State, Class and Divsion titles is traveling out to Eugene, Oregon 4 days after competing at the University of Pennsylvania at the New Balance National Championships. We will be flying out on June 22nd and returning on June 25th.. He will be competing in the Hammer throw and Shot put. If Tarik places in the top 2 at the U20 Championships and hits the qualifying marks he will be named to team USA. What an amazing accomplishment not just for him but for our youth of Woonsocket. (He already has hit the minimum standard in shot put and is 60cm away in the hammer) so all he needs is to place top 2.

Some of his other accomplishments include, 4 New England records, 10 State records, 26 school records, 38 meet records, at least 10 facility records, he just completed the 2nd greatest indoor season by a thrower in the history of the United States (by distance) while capturing 5 national championships and a runner up.

Tarik is an amazing athlete and person, he is extremely helpful with younger athletes and trying to help them within the sport and these funds would help him be able to accomplish one of the most amazing accomplishments an athlete can achieve.

Which would go a long way towards those younger athletes working harder to achieve their goals.

Currently he is ranked top 10 in the world in the U20 shot put and top 28 in the U20 hammer throw.
