Hi everyone,

My name is Jennifer and I work with Wookie's amazing family in a small antique shop in Eastern Ontario. Many of you have come through our red shop door and have experienced the amazing "Wookie Greeting"!

Wookie was such an amazing dog and completely devoted to his owner Jon. Jon rescued him back when he was just a small fluffy pup and they have spent the last 15 years together making amazing memories.

In the wee morning hours on July 25th, Wookie lost his battle to a recently found infection. He was on medication but unfortunately it just wasn't enough at his very senior age.

We have solace in knowing that he did not suffer and everything that could be done to keep him calm and comfortable was put in place. His amazing vet and our great friend Russ came out to ease his suffering around 2:00am.

I would like to try and raise the funds to help Wookie's family pay for his final vet bills and to have him cremated and brought home to Jon.

If you would like to help me with this, I would be eternally grateful. His family is not aware that I am setting this up and Jon does not use social media. I will be gathering the funds and bringing it over to him once I reach the goal. I promise to make a post at that time where Wookie's family can express their gratitude for your generosity.
