Hello there!

I'm Renee Amoroso, but this story really isn't about me. I created this fundraiser to help support my dear friend and colleague, Christy Wohlgemuth. Christy is a mom of 2 and wife to JP. Chirsty herself was diagnosed several years ago with Lupus, an inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues. This disease comes with a plethora of it's own complications and JP has been Christy's number one supporter and care-giver along the way. Recently, JP was diagnosed with cancer and he is currently undergoing treatment.

In order to alleviate some of the transportation issues, the Wohlgemuth family set out to get an impressive motorized wheel chair for Christy - and they got it! Then, in true insurance fashion, the claim to cover the costs for the car lift were denied.
