On the 24/12/17 Woody had an accident at work on the railway platform. He sustained a traumatic brain injury in which he suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage causing a midline shift right acute subdural haematoma and left frontal confusion. These diagnoses have impacted on Woody’s function significantly. He has reduced sensation to his left side, causing very little movement to his leg and arm, and visual problems and a degree of cognitive impairment. He also has to be hoisted into a wheel chair. He has had so many set backs, the first 3 weeks he returned to operating theatres 3 times as he had an abscess on the brain. At the moment he is receiving Neuro rehabilitation at Walton Hospital and he is pending an operation for cranioplasty.
Carl Nicholas, Ste Bennett, Dave Pitson, Dylan Kensall, Leighton Cole-Jones, Pye and Gary Scouse (Gary Leadbetter) are attempting the National Three Peaks Challenge in June. They are aiming to climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pyke and Snowdon, which are the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, within 24 hours.
During the organising of the event Dave suggested they do it to raise some money for Woody.
Woody's rehabilitation is going to take a very long time and there are numerous changes required to his home and to his lifestyle that are going to cost a lot of money.

So please donate whatever you can to support a friend/colleague/neighbour. Every bit helps.

Thanks in advance.
