Donation protected
Betty and Jimmy Woody’s home sustained major damage last night during a fire. Betty who is disabled was home alone as Jimmy along with his son Joseph who also lives in the family home with his two children had traveled to pick the kids up at work. Betty heard something behind her and looked and the house was on fire. Apparently, the fire started from an electric heater whose plug shorted out. Betty dialed 911 for help and her other son Rodney who lives near by and is on the voluntary fire department heard the dispatch and was able to get his mom out. Betty sustained burns to her back and arms as well as smoke inhalation. She was flown to Grady Trauma center and is currently in the burn unit in stable condition . Rodney also sustained smoke inhalation and taken by ambulance to Northeast Georgia where he was later released. This family has lived in the Suches area for many generations. Please Pray for God to send his healing power and comforting spirit to surround them This family needs immediate help now If you feel led help monetarily, the funds will be used by the family for their immediate needs now as they try to recover from this traumatic event . Also the funds will be used for transportation back and forth to Atlanta to the Hospital. Beyond these needs, repairs or replacement of the home will be needed as well. Most of all Betty and Jimmy along with the family children Rodney, Lavinia, Joseph, and grandkids Austin, Haylie and Isabella covet your prayers. . The family would truly appreciate any assistance you might could give as well
