My name is Matan. I’m a Waldorf practical arts teacher and passionate woodworker who has lost his entire workshop equipment. This past month, I moved from California to Georgia and shipped all my tools in a U-Haul pod. About a week ago, I learned that the trailer that carried my family's entire belongings caught fire in Alabama. Many of the tools, some of them classic hand tools like the ones in the picture, some of them electric, were meant for a new woodworking program that I will establish at the Garden School of Marietta, a Waldorf-and Forest program-inspired PK-8 school in Marietta, GA. The school has a minimal budget to support me in this endeavor. The POD was insured, but my family will need the insurance money to buy various items for our daily use.
