Dear Friends, My name is Kate Gilday and I am fundraising for our neighbors whose woodworking shop burned completely last Thursday. Inside were handmade furniture, specialized tools and priceless lumber. This building is their mode of income and truly their life's work. One of the family members is a well-loved gardener who works for us at Woodland Essence. They live on a street with no electric lines, so use a generator. Sadly, the fire took this as well as the backhoe used to work the woods, gathering the trees needed for lumber and firewood.

These people are unable to build again without support from neighbors, friends and family, and others, like yourself who we hope will join us if you are able in raising the funds needed to purchase a new generator, create a new shop and purchase a used backhoe as these folks are eager to get back to work to provide an income for themselves. The family has been on this land for over 100 years! I'd like to help them be able to stay on this land and rebuild their shop and their lives!
