As some of you may already know, about two weeks ago, I was working my summer hustle Part-time Serving job and fell in a flooded bathroom at work. I broke my radial in my elbow on my dominant arm. I’m so fortunate to work for a company that has benefits and systems in place for workplace injuries so all my hospital bills and 18 physical therapy sessions will be covered. I will also be getting a small amount of job loss compensation as well, but no where near what I need to live. This was just a PT job and the majority of my income comes from my artwork, especially during the summer festival season. At this point they say it’s safe to plan for at least 4 weeks before I am back in the studio and up to 3 months before I am back to Serving or full 100% studio work. I'm trying to stay positive but this is pretty devastating both financially and emotionally. My studio practice keeps me healthy and my finances were already tight. This hit me when I was already pretty low.
I am asking for a little something from you to help me get out of this splint better then I went into it. The money will go towards my living expenses for the next 2-3 months until I am 100% again. Those expenses are rent (house and studio), bills, transportation, dog-related stuff (THE KINGS!) and also funds to help keep my business afloat so I can maintain clients and keep working in some capacity until this damn splint comes off. A little bit goes along way and I am so incredibly grateful. Thank you for hearing my plea.
