It is run by Sue Deeth who lives and works on the Island. Sadly there is no funding from any government sources in Zakynthos, and most cats and dogs lead a very short and miserable existence. Puppies and kittens are often found discarded in the rubbish simply abandoned, and many dogs suffer abuse by being chained and, in some cases, starved.
