- My name is Wondell LeFlore,
I recently woke up from a coma at Seton of Williamson County Hospital, where I was rushed by ambulance after succumbing to severe pain and illness that left me incapacitated during emergency surgery. A large kidney stone was removed following removal. Infection spread during this time are also contracted Covid, which later developed into pneumonia, I had multiple IVs ventilators and tubes inserted to remove fluid filling my lungs. My heart continue to be monitored due to stress of my illness, the trauma my body endured and continue to endure, has been insurmountable. I’ve been unable to return to work due to my current health status and slow progress . Most daily task are still impossible for me to complete alone. I’m unable to walk without becoming severely, winded, lightheaded, and dizzy. I am without a spouse or children to assist me. Periodically I do have friends who will assist, but I don’t want to overwhelm them with my needs. I have family, however they all live out of state my youngest brother, nephew, and niece have taken turns, flying to visit and help as much as possible while in town. The expense of travel leaves them limited with how frequent they can visit, and how much time they can spend as they have obligations they must return to themselves. My medical expenses are piling up and I’m facing financial stress in addition to the physical strain of healing and recovery. I have repairs that require immediate attention around my home that I’d planned to repair myself just before I became ill. As I won’t be in a physical position to resume house repairs I must hire out for the work to be completed. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to follow up with the cardiologist, urologist and my primary care physician. Please consider donating to help me avert further financial complications due to my recent trauma and current physical condition.
