This is my fight, my story.....
In 2013, I decided my family was complete and decided to be sterilized. I had a device, called Essure, implanted in my Fallopian tubes. Essure consists of two metal coils, inserted into each tube. The PET fibers in the coils cause scar tissue to grow and close the tubes up, preventing pregnancy. The problem with Essure, is the scar tissue never stops. I had serious side effects from the very beginning. I had debilitating headaches, hair loss, joint pain, extreme fatigue, eye vision problems, constant lower back pain, cycles that lasted 3 weeks and much more. My body was filled with inflammation from these devices. The only way to remove them was to have a hysterectomy. I was only 36 and needing a total hysterectomy. I had a hystecomy 10 months ago. All my symptoms are gone besides the joint pain. The inflammatio that Essure caused within my body, lead to fibromyalgia. I will never be free of pain, ever again.
We (myself and e-sisters) have been fighting to get Essure off the market for several years now. The FDA gave the Essure device a class lll status, as a life saving device. There is NO recourse, to the makers of Essure, Bayer. We need to change the law. I'm raising money to get myself to Washington DC to attend a special, open public hearing to discuss Essure. This is unheard of for the FDA to be doing. We are making enough noise to raise awareness of this terrible product, that the FDA wants to hear from us. I'm not doing this for myself but for all the women and our daughters/granddaughters. Our future. We cannot allow the FDA to continue to allow harmful devices to be approved without proper clinical trials being held. I was a guinea pig for this product and would never wish this on anyone. Help me get to Washington DC and show them that I am real!
