Women's Prayer Space in Mosque, Bangladesh

We seek your invaluable support in a significant and noble initiative. We have launched a fundraising campaign to establish a permanent prayer space for women in our local mosque.

Recently, in our neighbourhood mosque (Tulshidanga Jame Mosjid in Kolaroa, Satkhira, Bangladesh), we took the initiative to renovate a room to facilitate women's prayers and religious affairs in the Mosque. Alhamdulillah, since then, women have been participating in all five daily prayers, and organizing religious learning sessions for themselves and the children in that dedicated space.

Something truly remarkable happened on the first night of Taraweeh in Ramadan 2025. The mosque committee informed us that nearly 300 women attended the prayer - a historic moment for us, Alhamdulillah!

Currently, while a single room is designated for women, the overwhelming interest and participation have made it clear that we need to expand. To accommodate them adequately, we now require the entire 1,600 square feet floor. The mosque’s third-floor construction is underway, and further roofing work is also essential. To successfully complete this project, we need substantial financial support. Please donate your SADAQAH (not Zakat) generously.
