Women’s Health and Hygiene Awareness Nepal 2024

Greetings, family and friends,

Welcome to our Fundraiser to Promote Women’s Health and Hygiene Awareness in Nepal. We have partnered with Peak Endeavour Nepal to trek the Manaslu Circuit and deliver sanitary kits and health information. Our goal is to reach 500 young women and teachers.

In Canada, we take for granted access to hygiene education and supplies that are essential to physical and mental health and personal dignity.

Every dollar counts, and everyone who donates will be invited to follow our BLOG as we traverse the beautiful landscape and meet the people of the Manaslu region.

Our Story: In May of 2022, we travelled to Nepal and trekked to Everest Base Camp. The country, the people and our trekking companions made it an unforgettable experience. In March 2023, Andrea travelled back to Nepal bringing sanitary kits to young women in the Annapurna region. Thanks to family and friends, funds were raised to reach over 200 individuals. Witnessing first-hand the direct impact we had and how great the need is, we are inspired to return. We hope you can help and promise to share lots of photos of our adventure! The program is delivered by a trained professional and includes information about cyber-safety and self-defense. Each young woman receives a kit containing two sets of shields, eight liners, two panties, one towel, soap, one calendar and one small waterproof bag for after-use. They are made in Kathmandu for a cost of $12US.
