Hi, my name is Annika Bell, and this is Stairs for Support!
This summer, I'm taking on the challenge of climbing the height of Mount Everest (8848m) on the stairmaster, to raise funds for women's centres across Nova Scotia. It’s a personal commitment, and I’m excited to dedicate my energy to a cause that’s incredibly important!
In honour of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, I'm committing to climb 5 floors for every dollar donated! My goal is to raise $600, as this will allow me to climb the equivalent height of Mount Everest.
Nova Scotia has experienced an overwhelming increase in demand leading to waitlists and service delays. This surge highlights the urgent need for additional resources to meet the needs of survivors.
The funds raised through this challenge will go directly to women’s centres across Nova Scotia that provide vital services and support to those in need. These organizations offer a safe space for women, whether it’s for emergency shelter, legal assistance, counseling, or simply a listening ear. They do critical work every day, and this fundraiser is my way of supporting them.
Whether you donate $1 or $100, every single step makes a difference. So please follow along, spread the word, and help me take Stairs for Support - one floor at a time.
