Train and Gain Charity Run for Women Who Can
On Saturday, the 17th of May, Train and Gain members will be taking on the challenge of either a 5km or 10km run in aid of raising funds for the charity Women Who Can.
This charity means a lot to us, especially since we’ve had the chance to connect with its amazing founder, Sade. She was one of the inspiring speakers on our panel for our International Women’s Day event, where she shared her journey and the incredible work Women Who Can does to support and uplift women. The charity is dedicated to empowering women from all backgrounds by providing mentorship, career development programs, networking opportunities, and workshops that help build confidence and break down barriers to success. Their initiatives aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where women can thrive, both professionally and personally.
At Train & Gain, we are an all-female fitness and wellbeing society dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering space for women at Loughborough University. Our goal is to unite like-minded girls who have an interest in fitness, helping them build confidence, make new friendships, and enjoy a less intimidating gym and university experience. We strive to break down barriers to fitness by combating gym intimidation, promoting body positivity, encouraging self-care and mindfulness, and providing a strong support network. No matter your fitness background or ability, Train & Gain is here to remind you that there is a place for everyone in the gym and beyond.
By taking on this run, we’re not just pushing ourselves physically—we’re also helping raise money for a cause that’s changing lives. Every donation will go towards funding programs that give women the opportunities they deserve.
We hope you will support our event—whether by running, donating, or simply spreading the word. Together, we can make a real impact!
