Women of Faith - Ramadan Fundraiser

My name is Zizi Makki and in June 2021 I put together a Quran Study which welcomes women of any faith to join Zoom calls to discuss the Surah (a Chapter in the Quran) of the week.

 

We are a group of Muslim women who came together via this Quran Study. We decided to form a community to raise money for families in need of meals this Ramadan. The community of women has only grown, and hamdillah we are approaching almost 1 year of Quran Study meeting weekly. This is our first Ramadan as a community and we wanted to give back and bring awareness to Islam.

 

Every week, we would like to raise money and distribute it to individuals who are in need of meals for this Ramadan.  At the end of Ramadan, we plan to donate the remaining money raised to the following charities/organizations;
