We’re thrilled to share updates on our two big projects: a new macropod release pen AND a wombat release pen! Thanks to a generous donation from The Australian Lions Foundation, along with Charmhaven, Toukley, Gorokan-Kanwal, Gwandalan Lion Clubs, Gwandalan Lioness & Northlakes Highschool Leo Club, we’ve made incredible progress so far.

The Wombat Pen is complete and a video will be up soon to show the outcome!

To get the macropod pens up and running, we need just $3000 more for essentials like:

- Fencing and Building supplies

- Shade sails

- Feed troughs

- Water stations

- Feed storage bins

- Hay nets

Anything raised above this goal will help with ongoing costs, like feeding our hungry (and often hefty!) friends and keeping up with crucial medical care. It’s amazing, but it’s true: juvenile kangaroos can reach over 15kg before release, and wombats are about 25kg. That’s a lot of mouths to feed!
