This is 100% a hand up not a hand out case. Please help. A lady has fled an abusive relationship. Has been in San Diego for about a year now and stayed with family. She has 2 young children. She is actively working to be totally independent. She is a wonderful mother and person. She is currently working as much as she can given her situation. Has her children in a childcare program so she can work. Currently now residing in a motel so as to move further towards her own independence again. Has applied for housing but now they say she’s not making quite enough. I’m waiting on info to see exactly how much is needed to bridge so she’ll qualify. Who knows of any housing programs for single Moms? She is doing every thing she can to get back to stability for herself and her children. Any assistance will be grately appreciated. I have observed this situation for an entire year and I assure you…every penny goes to survival and her children.
