Woman Life Freedom
Woman Life Freedom RVA’s Mission:
To amplify the voices of people in Iran who are fighting for basic human rights and to bring the entire RVA community together to support freedom fighter’s around the world.
Project Goals:
1. Spread awareness of the “Woman Life Freedom” movement through public art.
2. Create a meaningful public artwork that celebrates the women of Iran who are bravely fighting against gender apartheid.
Project Details:
- This project is a collaboration with muralist and artist Germany Ray, a graduating Senior from Virginia Union University.
- We received a “certificate of appropriateness” from the Richmond city government’s Architectural Review Committee for this project on 3/28/23.
- Project’s timeline is September through October 2023.
Project Budget:
Materials Budget: $2,500.00
Personal Liability Insurance + Certifications: $250.00
Equipment Budget: $3,000
Artist Stipend: $750.00
Total: $6,500.00
