Woman Life Freedom movement in Washington

The Voice Of Iran (VOI) is a WA state nonprofit organization founded by Iranian-American volunteers in response to the ongoing Iranian Revolution and Woman Life Freedom movement that was sparked after the killing of Mahsa Amini in September of 2022. The VOI has been at the forefront of raising awareness in Washington State and community engagement and has hosted many of the rallies that have taken place in the greater Seattle area as well as civic engagement sessions.

VOI has been mainly self-funded by the organizers and relied on sporadic donations from the community members to cover the cost of the sound equipment, permits for each rally, banners, performance materials, and refreshments during the rallies, organizing civic engagement sessions, renting space among the rest. To keep amplifying the voice of Iranians fighting for their basic human rights, and engaging the Iranian-American community, it is important to continue our local activism including arranging more rallies and providing our community with a platform to raise their concerns and answer their questions.
