Amhara Youth in YYC is a youth lead organization based in Calgary, Canada. We are young Amharas eager to help our people in this devastating time and we hope you'll help us achieve our goal. We were able to raise $3000 through our monthly/yearly subscription plan on our website (amharayouth.com) and profit through the products we have sold. We have donated the full $3000 into this GoFundMe in the name of our organization for our Amharas in Wollo who have endured the most unimaginable pain.

We have representatives in Wollo who will make sure these donations will reach the victims directly. Your donations will provide food, shelter, medical support, and financial support to our brave survivors. Through our representatives, you'll have the chance to see these survivors receiving your generosity through videos and photos.

It's well known that, on top of the 40 years of targeted oppression against the Amhara people, Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) has invaded and displaced hundreds of thousands of Amharas from Wollo in their recent invasion into the Amhara region. Amhara civilians in Wollo have been gang-raped, massacred, their livestock killed, and their houses burnt to the ground. On top of this unimaginable reality, humanitarian organizations and the government are not reaching this emergency state.

Many who survived these massacres are under dire conditions as they lack basic necessities such as water, food, and shelter. Those who fled Wollo into other neighboring Amhara regions are struggling to return to their homes in Wollo because they don't have the means for transportation or home.

የአማራ ወጣቶች ማሕበር በካልጋሪ፤ በካናዳ የሚገኝ የወጣቶች ድርጅት ሲሆን፤ በዚህ አስከፊ ወቅት ሕዝባችንን ለመርዳት የምንጓጓ ወጣት አማሮች ነን። በመሆኑም ዓላማችንን ከግብ ለማድረስ እንደምትረዱን ተስፋ እናደርጋለን። እኛ ወጣቶች ወገኖቻችንን ለመርዳት የጎፈንድሚ(Go fund me) ገንዘብ ማሰባሰቢያ የከፈትን ሲሆን ማሕበራችን ከእናንተ ድጋፍ በየወሩ/በየዓመቱ በድረ-ገፃችን (amharayouth.com) ከሚገባው ገንዘብና በሸጥናቸው ምርቶች ትርፍ ያሰባሰበውን $3000 ዶላር ሙሉ በሙሉ ወደዚህ ጎፈንድሚ በድርጅታችን ስም በወሎ ላሉ ወገኖቻችን አስገብተናል።

ይህ እርዳታ ለተጎጂዎች በቀጥታ መድረሱን የሚያረጋግጡ ተወካዮች በወሎ ያዘጋጀን ሲሆን ልገሳዎ ለጀግኖች ወገኖቻችን የምግብ፣ የመጠለያ፣ የህክምና ድጋፍ እና የገንዘብ ድጋፍ ያደርጋል። ይህንንም የሚያረጋግጥ የፎቶና የቪዲዮ እንዲሁም የደረሰኝ ማረጋገጫዎችን እንደምናደርሳችሁ ከወዲሁ እናሳውቃለን።

ህወሐት ለ40 ዓመታት በአማራ ህዝብ ላይ ያነጣጠረ ጭቆናና ግፍ እንዲሁም በመቶ ሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ አማሮችን ማፈናቀሉ የሚታወቅ ነው። በወሎ የሚኖሩ የአማራ ተወላጆች በጅምላ ተደፍረው ተጨፍጭፈዋል፣ ከብቶቻቸው ተገድለዋል፣ ቤታቸው በእሳት ተቃጥሏል። በዚህ የማይታሰብ እውነታ ላይ የሰብዓዊ ድርጅቶች እና የመንግሥት አካላት በመርዳት ላይ አይገኙም።

ከእነዚህ ግፍና ጭፍጨፋዎች የተረፉ ወገኖቻችን እንደ ውሃ፣ ምግብ እና መጠለያ ያሉ መሠረታዊ የፍጆታ ዕቃዎች በማጣታቸው በአስከፊ ሁኔታ ውስጥ ይገኛሉ። ከወሎ ሸሽተው ወደ ሌሎች የአማራ ክልል አጎራባች ክልሎች የገቡት ወገኖቻችን የትራንስፖርትም ሆነ የምግብና የልብስ እርዳታ ስለ ሌላቸው ወደ ቤታቸው መመለስ አልቻሉም።

ይህንን ችግር ባለን አቅም ለመቅረፍም ሆነ ችግሩን ለመቀነስ የበኩላችንን ለመወጣት ገንዘብ በማሰባሰብ ላይ እንገኛለን።

ልገሳዎ በቀጥታ የማይታሰብ ስቃይ ለታገሰው የወሎ የአማራ ህዝብ እጅ ላይ ይደርሳል። ወገንዎን ስለረዱ አስቀድመን ምስጋናችንን እናቀርባለን።
