Hi, my name is Annabella, and I’m here to share our story and the privilege it has been to be Wolf’s mama.
I was a senior in college when God brought Wolf to me. I had no house, no room for a dog—just the idea that I’d always wanted one. Wolf found his way to me through a family who could no longer keep him after his initial adoption. I thought to myself, Am I insane? How can I take care of a dog when I don’t even have a home of my own, and I’m still in school?! But life works in mysterious ways, and what started as an insane idea has become the best years of my life!
I had never been a dog mom before, but I made it my mission to give him the best life possible. We were attached at the hip. Wherever I went, Wolf was sure to follow—yes, even to school and sports practices! People eventually just associated me with Wolf. If there was one thing I was known for, it was being the best dog mom anyone had ever seen!
We’ve traveled together, hiked together, and Wolf has been with me through seven different moves across three states. My life was never consistent, but one thing always was: Wolf and me.
Wolf isn’t just my dog—he’s my protector, my shadow, my family. He’s been by my side through life’s chaos and calm, always with his steady presence, loyal eyes, and quiet strength. He’s pulled me through some of life’s toughest battles, and I know that if it weren’t for Wolf, I wouldn’t be here today.
Now, after seven spectacular years with him, I finally have the chance to help fight a battle for him!
Wolf has always been the picture of health—homemade diets, supplements, constant activity and exercise, and a crystal-clear medical history! But recently, something just felt off. He needed to go out constantly, he was restless, whining, and then I saw blood on his fur after a potty break. I panicked and called every vet in the tri-state area.
At first, they told us not to worry—it could be a UTI or even a kidney stone. But after four vet visits, X-rays, ultrasounds, and every test imaginable, we got the news we feared the most: cancer.
Wolf has been diagnosed with a unique form of prostate cancer that’s hard to detect until it’s more advanced. We’ve been working with a specialist at BluePearl Animal Hospital in Malvern, Pennsylvania, where Wolf will be starting a treatment called IMRT. It’s a super-targeted form of radiation that allows the doctors to aim directly at the cancer without damaging the healthy tissue around it. That means it’s safer for Wolf and gives him a better shot at shrinking the tumor with fewer side effects. He’ll need a few sessions, each under anesthesia—but it’s worth it if it means more time with our goofy, stubborn boy.
He’ll also begin chemotherapy, which will help slow the cancer and work alongside the radiation. The goal is to give him the best quality of life, for as long as we possibly can.
We’re working with an incredible specialist who truly cares about him, and we’re staying hopeful. It’s a lot—but Wolf is a fighter!
Wolf has given us nothing but love and loyalty. Now, it’s our turn to fight for him. His treatment could give him more comfort and more time with the people who love him most. I’ve always gone to the ends of the earth for Wolf, and I won’t stop now.
We’re reaching out to our friends, family, and community to spread his story—whether that’s through likes, shares, or simply sending love and good energy his way!
Any money raised will go directly towards Wolf’s cancer treatment, medications, and follow-up care. Every bit of support means the world to us!
Thank you for reading Wolf’s story and thank you for being part of his pack!
