Wolfie - an Old Dog Dumped on Streets with Bad Teeth SAFE

Wolfie is an older dog - 15+ who was rescued and in our care at Springfield Rescue, Inc. He was dumped and taken to the vet. There was a $500ish charge for initial vetting and he absolutely needs a dental work up done as he is in real need. The problems with his teeth are fixable but causing problems with sinuses and other things. He has been neglected. We want to make it right. He is a love bug and wags his little stumpy tail but is in a lot of pain right now. One tooth pushed over to the side and was bleeding like crazy last night. I had blood all over my arm and we got him calm - took him to the vet the next day and scheduled him for a full dental which will cost over $1,000. BUT he is in basically ok health and this procedure will ensure he lives a long happy life. Without this, he would get septic and die. We will be making special foods for him for the rest of his life. Please help get this old man the medical he needs. Our vet is awesome and they can do the job right. He ate most of his food tonight but it took about 20 minutes. He is suffering. Thank you, from Wolfie! A cool dog! Soon to be up for adoption too!!

I don't know why I do this.. Wolfie is a lovely lil fella.. lost in a humans world. When we met he was scared as hell. I had him on my lap a lot just kinda shaking a little the first day. I get it. Where the heck am I? Other dogs sniffed and wanted to interreact - he didn't. Things settled.. he became one of the group and felt safer. We noticed something odd.. his teeth were screwed up. Ate slowly.. kinda out of joint when eating.. Wolfie just kinda presented his situation to us. I do not look for dogs in need. When Wolfie was in our lives.. welp.. no going back. He is here.. up for adoption and in our best care. Simple deal. We are here for him to get better and have a better life and go to a good home or just be here. It really is a strange feeling to look at a suffering dog and not know what fate has for them. We know it wont be a bad fate now that someone cares about them. HIs teeth are all jacked.. probably will get them all pulled Wed. Up to the Docs. We trust them. today though.. no magic wand... no facebook group of Good Wishes... no one here but me and him. He has meds to fight infection and take some pain off... and my arms to give him love. Off and On... tonight .. he slept in my arms three times. Now, he is in a comfy bed. Under my desk... I keep a good watch and keep the springy lil pup away from him. He is one of many that we cannot ignore and it is always people who did them dirty. The GOFundMe is to help off set the costs. He looks like a miniwolf lol It was a bit of time but he does wag his little docked tail when I come up the stairs.. love bug.. Well he ate this morning.. teeth and all .. ate this evening with meds.. sleeping now.. poor dude is in much pain.. I see it .. meds knock him out and surgery is tomorrow. 830 am .. gonna be late for work - teaching - and they are ok with it. lil fella is going through something I would HATE..
