Wojo Family Assistance Fund

The Wojciechowski family needs our help! I'm asking for donations to help out one of the sweetest, most loving, adorable couples one could ever once in a lifetime call friends.
Tony Wojciechowski was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer 2 years ago. He has undergone intense and constant treatment from the onset. As the eternal optimist that he is, Tony has endured 3 forms of chemotherapy concoctions, as well as immunotherapy. Each was a challenge, but wherever there was hope, Tony matched it with his faith in the possibility of a cure. Until recently, he continued to work 4 days a week, as his wife Mary Jo juggled her full-time paralegal position, her elderly mother who has lived with them for 20 plus years, and all of the responsibilities of their home and their finances (which Tony had always done).
The last scan showed new growth in his lungs, and fluid building around the stomach. Two procedures, which each drained more than 22 pounds, have already been done and it needs to be done again. An attempt was made to try an experimental drug, but the test results to qualify him came back with unexpectedly poor numbers. His oncologist suggested he stop all treatment but, being the warrior, Tony tried one last chemo treatment. Unfortunately, his body seems to have been to weak to handle it and now, just one week later, he has been placed under hospice care.
After 39 years of partnership, this loving couple is in a crisis that they cannot manage alone. They have done everything right in life, they have worked, and saved, and raised a family, and given to their community, served in their church, and loved God above everything else. Yet nothing could have prepared them for this unforeseen obstacle. For 2 years they have taken every baby step needed, day by day, to manage whatever was immediately in front of them but it has taken an emotional and financial toll on them.
Today, Mary Jo and Tony's sons and their families are rallying around them, asking for a leave of absence or taking time off, and rushing to help. Mary Jo needs their help! She is not strong enough to keep Tony from falling or handling some of his other needs. But this creates a monetary and emotional hardship for their own families as well. Helping them out as they help Tony and Mary Jo through this challenging transition would be a godsend. They will incur travel expenses and loss of income for their time away from their jobs. It's surely a labor of love, but still!
Mary Jo wrote on her Facebook page April 8th, 2022, “We celebrated our 39th wedding anniversary, and it got me thinking about the vows .. for better, for worse, richer or poorer, in sickness and in health! We have been through them all, but I can’t imagine surviving all the trials, tribulations, successes, amazing adventures and wonderful sons we’ve raised without you by my side!”
Mary Jo would never ask for anything for herself, but I am.
Can we be by their side? Please Help! Thank you.
